Privacy policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026

PriceCart works without an account. We don't ask for your name, email or address, and we don't try to find out who you are.

Person in charge of protecting personal information

Caio Povoa Redivo, for PriceCart. For any question or request: [email protected].

Your grocery list

The lines you write are sent to our server to find the products and work out the prices. Your list isn't kept as such and isn't linked to any person or device.

Each line's text, on its own, is kept with the matching answers (for example "2% milk" and the products judged to match), to answer faster the next time someone writes the same line.

Don't write personal information in your list.

Your feedback on a product

If you answer "Right product?", we keep the line, the store, the product shown, your answer, your note if you wrote one, and the date. This feedback is only used to improve matches. It isn't linked to anyone.

Technical data

Like any website, our server receives your device's IP address and the address of the page asked for. They can appear in technical logs, which are used for security and troubleshooting and kept for at most 30 days.

Traffic goes through Cloudflare, which protects the site from abuse and delivers it quickly.

Communication outside Québec

Our server is located in Finland (Helsinki).

To decide whether a product matches a line, the line's text and the product's name are sent to the AI model through OpenRouter, in the United States. Nothing else is sent with them.

Cloudflare processes technical data in its worldwide network.

Cookies

PriceCart uses no cookies today. When ads are added, ad cookies may be used only with your consent, and this policy will be updated first.

Your rights

You can ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and withdraw your consent, by writing to [email protected]. Since nothing is linked to you, we often won't be able to find anything, but we'll answer every request within 30 days.

You can also file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

Changes

We'll update this page if our practices change. The date of the last update is shown at the top.
